I'm thinking it would be neat to have a LED strip light come on when the sliding door is opened – has anyone else done this? I guess there must be some sort of switch that could be fitted that activates when the door opens, can anyone point me in the direction of such a thing??

Mine already has one as standard fitment on a 1990 Bus based camper and it operates a rear interior light( or did..not working at moment)

there is also the rubber block on the door aint there?..... (could be early sliding doors only though!)

Brilliant, found it there on JK website - nice one! Do you mean a rubber block it pushes against dugcati? S'pose I could make one of those – sure our lass won't miss a chunk out of the sole of one of her many pairs of shoes

yea its a kind of L shaped thing that pushes the switch in pocolow's pic

Just had a look and the L shaped block is there, and there's the hole cut out in the pillar for the switch, so just need to get the JK switch and wire it up

are you going to the bus stopover as i have a couple of spare switches.you can have one fer nowt..
