Front Bench Seat For T25?

Post by chewyobacca »

I own a 1990 Kamper 1.9 Petrol which currently has a static drivers seat and a single static passenger seat. Due to growing family I really want to fit a bench seat in the front. I managed to buy one off ebay only to find that although it fitted perfectly on the passenger rails, the back has no support and therefore falls back into the cab. I've since found out that it is designed to be bolted into the bulk head within the cab, however my van doesn't have this as it is designed to have a swivel base if required.

Does any body know where and which seat I require? I have found several on ebay that have come out of T3's and T4's which look great as they have the seats belts fully integrated into the seat, but I don't know if they can be fitted into mine particularly as they appear to have an extra base at the bottom to fit onto a flat floor, whereas the seat in mine mounts onto a raised box where a leisure battery can be placed.

Many thanks!

HI I would be interested to know more about this option as well. Would I be able to take a T25 with 2 seats in the cab, and then add passenger bench seat, and weld a supporting brace behind the seats to hold them together?

Rear support is a welded bar that goes from pillar to pillar. Bar has a bracket to fix side of bench seat.

I have a front bench seat and the bar that was carefully removed off my syncro if you want them. Would be easy job to weld on both sides.
