Engine bay seal

Post by albertramsbottom »

Whilst my engine bay seal is good and seals all the way round there is a gap of about 9" right at the rear of the engine bay, right in the middle. So when I peer in down where the fans is I can see through down to the rear heat sheild that sits on the exhaust.

There is no signs of any cuts or fatigue, so I thought that this was by design. Is it? becuase I would imagine that the fan would just suck hot air up through this gap from the exhaust

Cheers

It won't be enough to make any real difference. I wouldn't worry.
