not sure what this part is .. please help!

hi there,

the rear suspension type mount with the hole for the rear jacking point, thick tube type thing, it's below the rear arch body panel, quite near the slide door. there seems to be a little hole of rust there which is obviously questionable for mot, i was wondering what's this mount called and where can i get a replacement? how much is this piece and what would the procedure be for removing it? is it an air chisel procedure for removing it?

A photo would help. I believe you mean the rear jacking point. your best bet depending on the severity is to either clean it up and paint it. Patch it, or replace it. Replacement part would be off a breaker. I am not body work expert but in the absence of anyone else posting it may be of some help. That area has a lot of panels meeting around that area, and is structurally critical, I certainly wouldn't be having a go.
