driverside floor pan

Post by Mark6455 »

Hi guys yet another question from a new" how hard can it be to restore a t25 to a road worthy standard" novice.
I need to replace or repair the floor on my driverside as the bit where the accelerator pedal goes through has corroded, the problem is that i noticed there is a couple of metal tags that the linkage bolts too any ideas how to fabricate a replacement?
The floor also has a few pin holes in it so i thought it would be best to put a new section in,what do you think

Not hard no. You thinking of doing it yourself or farming it out? If DIY you'll need at least a modicum of welding skills. However, you'll also need to check that the floor rot isn't being cased by windscreen rot under the seal otherwise you won't be stopping the cause. Not seen a T25 yet that doesn't have issues there.

I dont know how bad it is - 549.00 yo yo's! I fix floor pans from the inside i.e. welding from the top. That way you are working in a comfortable position in good light on comparitivelly clean metal. Unless anything structural is involved I think you will make a better job. I then panel beat (batter) the damaged area up into contact with the new metal and cosmetically fill and paint it from the underneath. 549.00 Yo yo's. Am I reading this right -
