Help Needed With Westy Fridge Please
Can anyone help please.
My mate has a Westy California like mine but his fridge wasn't working too well so he got a bloke to service it. The bloke suggested turning it upside down, leaving it for a while & then putting it back. This hasn't worked & the fridge doesn't get cold at all.
Does onyone know anyone who repairs these fridges? & if it's beyond repair does anyone know where to get a replacement from? I've tried Frank Grote & EBay & didn't get any joy with either of those. He's based in Derby but is willing to travel if necessary.
Your help would be much appreciated thanks.

Cheers Matt, thanks for the help, I'll pass the info on. How's tricks? You'll be dissappointed to know that I had new windows & doors a couple of weeks ago. So your message of "Club 80-90 Came Round" which was written in the flakey paintwork of the old door has now sadly gone.
If anyone knows of any other places or people to try then please let me know.

"frell", we wont be able to tell which house it is now !!!!!
best send me yr address[/quote]
19 Cedar Street. But don't worry, the cills & downpipe are still bright green, they look propper mingin against the light oak windows & front door!!! The painting is on the "to do" list but I'd rather go away in the camper than paint the cills, obviously.
Whereabouts are you in Mickleover? I'll drop by if I'm passing & say hi, or maybe write "BobDick Came Round" in the paintwork of your door
)
P.S. Still looking for info on repairing the Westy fridge if anyone else knows of anywhere to rapair them or source a replacement.

Think most caravan/motorhome service centres should be able to help, as it should be the common Eletrolux/Dometic fridge.

Thanks Andy, I'll pass the message on.
In you signature, you mention you have a toaster in your van. How many amps is it & can you only use it when you're on hook up? I've just got a 300 amp inverter thing which plugs into the 12 volt socket & you can plug 3 pin appliances into it. Do you think a toaster would work this way when I'm not on hook up?
Cheers
