Hello all
I'm new to Type 25 ownership (just bagged myself a 1990 panel van!) and I'm just wondering if any Type 2 interior parts (camper) can be used in a t25?
Sorry if this question has been asked before, I couldn't find an answer when I searched...!!
Cheers!
Jon
Type 2 Interior into a T25?

Re: Type 2 Interior into a T25?
probably, in as much as anything can be made to fit with a crowbar and a chainsaw! But my main question would be why? Unless you have a bay that you are breaking (probably worth more as parts sold to bay enthusiasts?) The R&R bed should fit, cabinates are just cabinates and should fit anything, though I wonder wether the angles of panels inside would leave a gap behind? I'm converting an 82 panel van into camper and for the most part have built my own interior, its not perfect but its adequate for my needs and will be replaced with nice stuff when funds allow!
Unless you are after an amazing interior, I tried to stay away form "offical" camper stuff as you are paying a premium for something you might not be so bothered about. unless you are bothered, in which case, go for it, take pictures, post up here and I'll probably be copying you in 6 months!
Good luck
Jim

Bay window rock and roll generally wont fit without a lot of cutting and shutting.. then the mech will make it sit too low when closed.. engine bay is MUCH taller in a bay window..
T25 is larger too and squarer.....
Seems like an awfull lot of effort to cut and shut a bay interior to fit a T25..
As said.. prob easier and cheaper to sell the good bay stuff and but some good T25 stuff..

A rock and roll from a bay will fit a t25 but you have to make a raised platform (roughly 100mm) over the engine bay to make up the difference in height between the two types. If your gonna do this just put hinged lids on it and use it as extra storage. Then your back cushion sits on your platform.
