engine won't turnover -

Post by gixx1127 »

just went out to my new t25 today, put the key in, lights came on the dash, then nothing no turnover no nothing! was working fine the day before, normally fires up pretty quick, tested battery about 13.5v with ignition off, 14-14.5 when connected by jump leads to another car - still no turnover!
when you turn ignition on it drops by 0.5 volt but when i turn the key to fire it up the voltage remains stable! any ideas, thanks.

Check underneath van on the starter motor. There's a spade connection that pushes onto the starter motor fed from the ignition key. Make sure this in on and making a good secure connection.

Hi Mark thanks for the tip, i had read that amongst previous posts amongst other possibilities, it was just as you said, looks like previous owner had same problem as it was wrapped in insulation tape to hold it in place.

Regards, Alistair.
