Battery connections

Post by uniB »

Simple, somewhat dumb question for you... If there is no leisure battery at all in the van, just the standard battery, should there just be the main positive terminal connection which goes to the engine, nothing else (well, apart from the neutral terminal obviously!).

Nope! There's one more thinner cable that runs to the fusebox from the battery positive terminal.

Oops, I see, I might have accidently removed that when I was getting rid of the old leasure battery wiring! Does is go directly to the fusebox (I think I know where the remnents of it are) or does it have to go through the fused thing under the driver seat??

It should go straight down through the battery tray, next to the starter motor cable, and on to the fuse box. Nothing in between.

Cool, cheery Mark, I'll see if I can find out what's going on with that tomorrow :)
