Switch between the water light and the battery light help

Post by irishkeet »

I was just wondering what the switch between the water light and the battery light is for/does?

When the switch is to the left the battery light goes to amber, when switched to the right it goes to green.
I have been away twice now running the CD player & lights on battery only and have had it switched to the right
I have 2 van batteries (no leisure) but everything seems to run ok, but I would like to know what it does and if I'm using it correctly!

Hi
Many thanks for the manual link
I checked it but the manual covers the later models with 3 switches so i was unable to tell which one would be mine I think its the switch for control light of the batteries but not 100% sure

Im really wondering why the light goes to amber when i switch to the left and if i should be switching this before driving to charge one of the batteries?

thanks

That switch is supposed to switch the panel on, sounds like yours is on all the time, the water and battery guages shouldnt read unless this switch is put on

two vehicle batteries !! do you mean your using a starter battery as a leisure ? Nothing wrong with that, Ive been using two starter batteries under the seats (diesel so another next to the engine) for the last 2.5 years with no problems

Some panels had two switches ,if the LPG system was fitted witha pre heater for cold weather camping
