Hello all - I'm new to this forum (and this whole T25 business!) so would really appreciate some help.

we really want to buy a T25 but the only sticking point is the safety of my children when we are travelling. I've got 2 and a half year old twins and don't want them to travel on the r&r bed. We were thinking of one travelling in the front with dad driving and I would sit on the r&r bed, but what to do about my other precious twinny?! We've thought of either installing another seat in the front or one behind the passenger seat?? We currently use isofix anchorage points in our car to attach our car seats - could we also get these fitted to the camper?

lap belts can easily be fitted to T25's.. three point belts take a little more effort

search seat belts on here and there are quite a few posts regarding this issue, also go to our wikipedia (wiki)
and take a look in there, finaly check out the archive within this tech forum with freqently asked questions and good replies find their way there too

Hi! and welcome to the happy farm!

IMHO the front passenger seat isn't called the suicide seat for nothing!

I would keep your little precious things on the rear seats and fit the seat belts as above ^^^. It's not really the seats that do the restraining in a prang, it's the seat belts and their anchor points.

Also make sure there are no loose objects lying around the van and all the cupboard latches are working properly.

we've got 2 little kids. We bought a Westfalia - it has 2 lap seats in the back (other conversion will too i'm sure) I then swapped one of these for a 3 point belt from Brickwerks - the side that the wardrobe isnt on. It was easy to fit as on a Westfalia the holes for the mounting bracket are drilled in the body work already. For the other side, I wasnt sure about taking a 3 point belt through the wardrobe, so we bought a car seat that can be used with a lap belt - i think it was a Britax, got it from ebay

I have a westy with lap belts at the rear, did ponder getting a 3 point seat belt fitted but in the end just got a Britax Eclipse which is the only (as far as I know) child seat that can use lap belts as well as 3 point belts

Isofix cannot be installed, its a factory thing.

Thats the one - Britax Eclipse....

Should be pointed out too that the seat belt fixings are to the body of the vehicle - not the R&R bed, so they are secure (well on a Westy anyway)

my mothercare cae seat base anchors securely on the rear bench seat with the lapbelt or up front with daddy using the 3point seat on the passenger side. simple!

Thanks for all your help and advice - you've definately made me see my bubs are safer in the rear of the van! We're looking at maybe buying the Bluebird bed and installing a good quality buddy seat on sliders. Phew...being a safety conscious kinda gal I'll no doubt put the bubs in our regular car and follow the van - to the horror of my poor hubby!! Thanks again for your help - any more suggestions will be gratefully received if not for the sanity of my poor hubby!
