Need to buy some new pads this week, but.......are the early type brake pads the same regardless of whether you have ATE or girling calipers???
Got myself a bargain at stanford hall this weekend, a pair of brand new discs fitted with new bearings and seals etc for £15!
The guy also had two newly recon'd calipers and pads sat there that he was deperate to offload onto me aswell, reckon I could have got the pair with pads for £10, then I started thinking whether they would be the right sort etc
I now realise my mistake, what was I thinking of to pass up a bargain like that. Coz my calipers are ok I didn't think to just take them for future use.
Still chuffed about the discs just annoyed at my stupidity!!!

I know tell me about it, I could kick myself but you know how it is when you're only thinking about what you really need. The guy had the discs marked up at £35 not even 5 minutes before I got them for £15. He only had the calipers marked at £20 for the pair to start with.
Stand back gonna give myself another firm kick up the rear
