When fitting a high top, is it necessary to flatten the paint back on the contact area on the side of the roof to bare metal so that the tigerseal is bonded to the roof and not just the paint?
Thanks in advance

i just fixed mine onto the un-flatted paint. ps, sikaflex maybe better than tigerseal, but they or more or less the same.

Cheers weazlechin, Just looking for peace of mind to allay fears of the hightop flying off !!
Have already bought the tigerseal though. Apparently Timber Technicians use it so it should do the job ok.
