Thermostat Cable.

Post by speleobod »

To all you peeps out there that have just spent dollars with JK you'll have read the catalogue update on 'obsolete 'parts.

One of the items listed is a cable for thermostat bellows. JK say that without one bus engine takes too long to get warm and may suffer damage.!!!!oooh er missus!!

I've never had a cable on our bus. Should we have one?

Tell us what you think.

Thanks

stat cable

The cable is the easy bit to source - I used a standard Shimano gear cable.
It's the thermostat itself that is really difficult to get hold of - no longer made...
Richard Atwell's site does a good page on this stuff - look here
I know it's for earlier vans but the engine is largely the same
