to fit caravelle/kombi glass with recessed windows as per the factory is a lot of work, serious welding for the pro/top amateur, so most panelvans have the panels cut and the glass let in. You can use the factory plane glass yes, the new window strip deals with the curve, best to find the glass first. You can fit a caravelle sliding door with glass, that's all you really need for driving safety and view out the back
