Fuel Filler Parts

Post by aacbuk »

I have just discovered the fuel filler pipe on my 1981 T25, going from the filler cap to the fuel tank is beginning to perish. I cannot source one anywhere, can anyone help.

Cheers

Measure the neck, is it metal or plastic ? .... your's should be the early wide steel neck, but someone may have swapped it because the early neck and tank went obsolete ... then post a Wanted ad in the Wanted Forum

Welcome to the club btw :ok

I've got a plastic one here, I bought it off ebay but didn't need it, should be 48mm entry to the tank, a tenner!

There is the outer steel ring, the black plastic surround which is what the bodywork rots around  a steel backing ring, then a rubber neck and the main filler neck, both of which come in 2 sizes, early wide metal and later thinner (48mm) plastic. The tank itself dictates what neck and rubber you need.
