Hi Peeps,
Im want to get my camper waxoyl protected but know nothing about this process. Does anyone know what is involved, what to expect and of course how much it may cost? Im in the process of having the body completely rubbed down and resprayed so rust protection would be sensible.
Ta!

Re: WAXOYL
There's a lot of posts re rust proofing, treatment and waxoyl; type them into the search box at the top and have lots of coffee to hand
If you don't want to do it yourself, have a word with the folk who are spraying your van ?
I got a price from these folk http://www.rustmaster.co.uk/index_43785.htm just out of interest and they reckoned about £450 to do the underside of my van, if I remember correctly. I went with the DIY option as my factory coatings are still good.

Re: WAXOYL
If you are getting the job done professionally using a compressor to apply then there are far better products. Talk to the people doing it, they will probably suggest some of the better ones. Waxoyl is a lot thinner and ideal for DIY but not the best for long lasting protection.

Re: WAXOYL
I opted for Dynx 50 for the cavities and waxoyl for the underside.

Re: WAXOYL
Hi
Some photos of the van completed....
I have had the Waxoly done by http://www.rustmaster.co.uk". Michael was very helpful, dropped me into town and collected me when the job was done. There is quite a few splashes on the bottom half of the van which I'll get cleaned over the weekend but all in all if I had another vehicle I would be happy for him to do it again. It is a new(ish) product from Waxoyl that will not crack and shrink wraps to the components, even got a spare aersol can to cover any future additions
Below are some pics of the work which you can see if now curing nicely in the exhaust photos.
I had the exhaust fitted by http://performancepipesandtuning.com who were very helpful.
Blasted and washed before been Waxoyled

Fresh Waxoyl which takes 4 days to cure

New exhaust & cured Waxoyl
