lifting again (this time with seikels)
Was wondering if anyone had tried doing the lift with just front seikels and standard springs and spacers on the rear as front seikels cost 300 yoyos but rears are 400 would have the stiffness at the front where it seems to be needed surely would be a slighty cheaper upgrade than seikels all round?

Have you tried just spacers front and back?

have all new springs to fit from simon and was going to combine with spacers although a lot of other stuff to fit (engine, gearbox, tank etc) before i even think about suspension. Was just thinking out loud

dont think its a good idea myself as you`d end up with an unbalanced suspension set up.
for the price of seikels i`m pretty sure you could get springs custom wound. plus simon should have the adjustable shock set up ready soon and with that you should be able to fine tune the ride hight to suite your needs.

Surely adjustable shocks won't adjust ride height, just roll.

got to agree with lee on this one, but the rears are the weak link i have snaped a rear pig tail, jed i think has too. there has got to be more poeople that i dont know about have also. the quality of the seikles is top and they are proven to work and work well. they fit first time and they will give you a lift, a true lift rember not a spaced lift about 35-40mm on my doka. if you are gonna buy them i would go for the whole set, rather than a missed match set.
thats my thoughts any how neil

Fit the new springs with spacers and forget the Seikels. €700 for a set is a lot of wonga. Just think of all the beer and wine you could get for that on mainland Europe ......

karlT........... baxters shocks should have adjustable spring seats as well as adjustment for damping.
