DIY Armrest Up Front?

Post by JCL »

I want to create/fit an armrest to the inside of each front seat and have no intention of buying second hand captains seats, I want to attach them to my seats. Any suggestions please? the metal frame of the seats feels substantial enough to bolt an aftermarket fleebay purchase to each seat. Alternatively I am considering drilling through the metal table leg and bolting said armrests to either side of the table leg. Anybody fitted armrests to non captain seats? How? where did you source the rests? manay thanks.

right this is just what my brain does after a few guiness,s but i,d get some tubing a tube bender make a shape say an small n bend to follow seat then at points clamp in small vice to create flat spots drill and mount same for actual rest but then use mdf or simular counter sink dome head bolts then build up with foam, wrap with cloth bobs your auntie. hope this gives you the same vision i got good luck.
