Hi, after a short trip last week, I found oil spirting out of the dipstick - very dramatic, especially when it hit the hot exhaust pipe. I left it a few days, and topped the oil up (seemed to have lost about a litre), then started the engine up. No obvious problems, so went on a short 5 minute run to warm the engine up, and this time the oil started squirting out of what looks like a breather hole in the oil filler cap. Both times, the engine temperature seems to have shot up just at the point the oil starts coming out; I have had an ongoing issue with loss of coolant, but it doesn't look like I've lost much if any coolant before the oil starts escaping.
There doesn't seem to be any oil in the coolant, or vice versa, and the air filter hasn't got oil in it either. Can anyone suggest what might be going on here?

check the crankcase breather tower is not blocked or the breather pipe is not kinked/blocked
