I didn't even know there was a 'radiator undertray'
, I thought that was the spare wheel tray ?

i thought it was to channel the air or something like that but in reality it holds water against the bottom of the rad and rots it, mines got a new radiator because of this and therfore has not been refitted with rust catcher!!

helps direct the air through the rad. just like the ones up the sides
dosent seem to make a difference weather they are fitted or not.
vw obviously thought so , they seemed to have problems with the diesels and overheating.
