Fibreglass top sealer?????

Post by glyn »

The skylight on my camper had a big hole in it so all the roof boarding got wet, i was surprised the material used was like a thick cardboard instead of plywood or something so it soaked it up like a sponge, anyway i've stripped it all out and i was going to seal the fibreglass roof while it was stripped in case there are any pinholes in it, i thought i would use black bitumen or something similar because its quite flexible so shouldn't crack up with the movement.
Does anyone know of any other sealer that would be more suitable?

Go to a chandlers and get yourself some two pot polyurethane or epoxy paint - it's made for painting and sealing grp. Use it outside not inside - if you have pinholes you will get water wicking along the glass fibres and it will start to delaminate. :pimp
