Fuel Filter 2.1

Post by robobobo »

I serviced my syncro 2.1DJ and got what i thought was the correct fuel filter or so GSF said, one of the metal inline fuel filters. The filter in the left wheel arch looks completely different though, i heard these were supposed to be permanent. Am i supposed to remove this and replace or am i missing something.

If i need to get a different filter does anyone know who stocks them? If so is it worth me adding the inline filter to another location in the engine bay.

thanks syncexperts

And cheers for the gear oil advice, although i could not budge the drain plug on the main box i did manage to syphon out 3.5 litres. Think that will have to wait till the exhaust comes out for a full drain.
cheers
get a bigger mallet/wallet ;-)

on a 2.1 big chunky fuel filter in wheel arch is a mann filter, ask gsf for the 2.1 one it's about £7, anything else is unnecessary and potentially dangerous
for life filter ie 10 years, 100k miles
