new external slide door handle, lock and keys.

Post by banana »

Ive finally had enough of my current slide door lock as despite loads of specialist spray oil its a complete bas--rd. Now I want to check how I remove the old one and refit the new one.

Ill take off the inner panel etc and anything in the way. Will there be a nut or bolt Ill find that simply holds the handle on? and will it all pull off easy then. Please let me know of any problems i could have, like key washers and things disappearing into door skin etc.

its easy job and obvious what to undo ,haynes manual will show you ,the large x type screw head behind the door card holds the handel on use a bit of loc tight on that screw when you re asemble stop it undoing and makeing the handel lose :)
