I have got a 1990 Westy with the original VW radio cassette fitted in it. My mate has got a modern radio / CD player with an ipod lead from his car that he says I can have cheap but he needs to know today if I want it. It simply connect to the car via two big plastic connector blocks.
I have never taken the stereo out of my van and wondered how they connect to the van. Is it a simple matter of connecting up the two blocks to fit it to my van or will it need loads of cutting and splicing to get it to work.
Cheers
ps I would pull my old stereo out & have a look but the van is at home under cover & I'm at work

universal connectors are available from halfwits..er halfords or most motor factors.
the only problem is modern radios are a little longer than the old ones.. but again you can get the dash spacer from Brickwerks.
