Replacing 1.6TD JX diesel injectors

Post by Gandalf »

Hi all,

I'm going to attempt to change the injectors on the van this weekend (injectors purchased, flame traps purchased + socket for the injectors). It looks to be straight forward but being a right numpty where anything like this is concerned thought I'd best ask on here if there is anything else I should be aware of? I've asked the same on BW and they advised the flame traps - so a good start. :)

Just like changing spark plugs really.

I'd replace the cotton covered rubber tubing at the same time.

Be careful with the injector lines, you should be able to put the union nuts on by hand. Don't tighten one end of the line before you have the other end fully fitted.
