Hi
Just changed the cv joints on the rear of my 2wd van. Two things I want to check please is
1. On the new cv joints there were one ring on one edge and 3 rings on the other. I fitted the with the one ring facing outwards.
2. I used the Haynes manual instructions and they didn't say anything about threadlock but I did torque them up properly. I read elsewhere I should have used it. I probably got some grease on the threads too.
Thanks
Tom

I think you will know if you did it wrong otherwise they would not articulate around to connect to the gearbox.
I wouldn't worry about the bolts check them after a 15 minute run and nip them in a bit more if needed, I would have updated them to torx so that they will not round off next time you need to undo them.

Thanks for the reply. They came with torx heads. just done a trip of about 40 miles and all is good. Will check it again with a torque wrench.
