Washer hose connection

Post by sjmtlewy »

Just pulled off one of my washer jets as it was loose. I tested the jet while it was out of the hole and it appeared to be leaking from the back of the jet. Behind, it is connected to a plastic tube, via a 1/2" piece of rubber hose. This struck me as a little odd, is this the same arrangement others have, or should the jets push directly into the plastic tubing? Not sure its wide enough though...

The plastic tube goes straight over the jet inlet and the rubber goes on top of that..........at least that is the way mine are, and they don't leak. If you've knackered the retaining clips on the jet getting it out you'll have to get new ones as they'll let rain water in.
