westfalia roof canvas

hi there everyone,just a quick question?

will the roof canvas off a 1986 westfalia pop top fit a 1980 poptop? the only real difference i can think of is the extra windows but got all excited when i found one cheap on ebay and forgot to check the year. any help is much apprieciated

Although it should fit, earlier Westies up to 85 did not have the metal stip to attach the canvas to the roof, I think they had a wooden baton method.
