Gearbox for a 1984/85 transporter.

Hi,

My father in law has a 1984 transporter 1.9 petrol. it requires a new gearbox and he has told me that it is an ABD gearbox.

It seems as though there arent any around but i have seen one advertised for a 1990 petrol model. will this box fit? also are there any other gearboxes that will fit this engine as i could search for others if so.

any help would be appreciated as the van is stuck in st petersburg at the minute and my father in law is returning there next week, hopefully with a gearbox if i can source one from somewhere.
