Yes. Many years ago I filled the rear quarter sills on my CF with foam and when they eventually rotted out I was horified at the extent of the damage. My advice would be to make sure there is no water ingress to your void - look for clues in the form of streaks or rusty puddles and don't fill with anything you can't remove for inspection or later necessity for welding etc. In closed spaces/voids there should be drainage holes in one form or another. Make sure they are clear and where you think it may be beneficial add them.CovKid wrote:glass fibre encased in plastic is fine. I used that technique in mine.
