Ok ok without grilling me too much for asking too many questions...
The brake lights don't work, both of them, any dumb blonde ideas, fuse and bulbs (but on both?) would be the first one but i don't know which fuse to change, although i know where they are! Pffffff
Any ideas, help men.
Ali

Fuse and bulbs are cheap, and if its not them at least you'll have some spares, GSF again, the fuse to change would be the one that looks blown/broken,( but from experience you can't always tell just by looking but 99 times out of a 100 its obvious) If its not this there will be a switch on the brake pedal but you will have to wait for one of our more technically minded members like Cate or Kathy or Jen to help.

Ali, the little black flap you remove to get to the fuses usually has the number of the fuse relevant to what it does. Pull the fuse out and check with one that you know does work.
Second, remove the screws from the light reflectors and check the bulbs and contacts, these units can get wet inside and corrosion gets between the contacts. Clean the contacts and check your bulbs.

er, ahem, did i just read another thread saying you have a fluid leak?
the brake lights work from a pressure switch - no / low fluid, = no pressure = no brake lights, fix one, the other will heal methinks.
