Right, i will be starting this soon possibly around christmas does anyone know of anywhere in the uk that does conversion plates and what clutch and flywheel to use?
and will the standard 4 speed box take the 250 lb/ft and 180 bhp im wanting to put through it? if not what do i need to do?

ill keep everyone up to date with the build and pics

I think (from memory) I read that TSR list plates along with a load of others.
Might be worth a phone call. TSR's rep is a bit patchy in these parts, mind.
If you're just buying mechanical parts (not services) you should be ok.
4 speed is reckoned to be stronger if healthy and you should be ok - if you don't intend to go drag racing on slicks at every traffic lights :rofl

I have a VR6 in my Syncro and you'll need to upgrade the box and change the gear ratios. Didn't do it myself but is a nice conversion. Goes like stink but need to tow a gas tank behind me. I am lucky to get 15mpg around town and 20 on a run. You might be better going for a Subaru. I would if I was in the market.
