What size core plug? 2 litre CU Engine..

Having identified the hole between the oil pump and oil filler neck, which should have a core plug in it..I need to know the size? Can anyone help?

Can't see this core plug on the parts diagrams you'll have to measure it I think ; it could be 27A on the diagrams which comes in standard and oversize 15.2/15.7mm ? but that is shown as being to l of oil pump, there's none shown on rhd case

I saw it and looked on the parts list and in bentley and couldn't find it so didn't reply, I figured someone Aircooled would be along to help........I'd ammend the post to highlight the CU aspect that'll bring them out of the woodwork.

right, unfortunately ive put the fan housing back on and cant take a photo or get to measure it.
i need to go to daz's where i have a spare block...........can you give me a day or so?

Hi,

You can see it beneath fan housing as its between the oil filler neck and elbow of the oil filler neck? Think am going to order galley plug set from VW Heritage, so one should fit!!
