AAZ injector question

Post by dubberatlast »

Hi newbie here, sorry its my first post but, i am in need of injectors for my t25 aaz conversion, im unemployed so recon is out the question till after xmas, ive been offered some on ebay and this is what the listing says

This is a set of used diesel injectors for a turbo charged engine. Each injector has the following stamped on it KCA 30s 36/4 155Bar 06813029229 - the latter number is the VW part number. These will fit the 1.6TD engine as they have the higher pressure rating of 155Bar rather than 130Bar for the non turbo engine. May be suitable for the 1.9TD engine too. They are good as were removed from a running engine.

will they be ok for my 1900 td aaz ??

please help im starting to rip my hair out :)

Andy, are the 1.6 GTD injectors 2 stage?

Doesn't matter how much ive looked into the use of GTD injectors on an AAZ i never get to a definitive answer?

If they're not 2 stage does that mean that they're a bad thing on an AAZ?

any 1.9td injectors will be fine as long as you change complete set.

GTD injectors will fit an aaz with some bending of pipes but wont give any more power, aaz ones are fairly good. GTD are single stage which will mean more diesel rattle but fine other than that.

I ran 1.6 single stage injectors with huge nozzles in my last aaz, power was awesome but they were noisy.

Just put GTD nozzles into AAZ bodies - easy.

Later AAZ came with twin stage DN0 SD308 injectors with 150 bar pressure. Earlier ones were single stage DN0 SD 297.

GTD ones have 155bar pressure and are DN0 SD 274 or 294.

If they are 155 bar then they are not from an AAZ.
