Does anyone know if a cracked anti roll bar connecting link to radius rod mounting is a mot failure? The bush underneath is paticularily cracked.
Secondly does anyone have a mot list that is relevent to t25 (things to watch out for) a pre mot sort of check?
Thirdly where do I get the afore mentioned bush if its a failure?

Done all those jobs but just noticed its cracked so will change it but dont need to panick for the mot> Trouble is Andy when you are a novice like me excessive movement is a little hard to define as its kind of relative. I used to put the van in for the mot to see what I needed to do but with the new mot I'm not quite sure how you come off with re tests, I will have to ring up and see.
Got a pretty fair garage I use who knows his way around older veh and seems to realise tolerences can be a little different

We still do free retests but most other garages around us don't. I see your point about what is excessive movement, different testers will have different ideas of what is ok. Most garages seem to pass borderline things now because of reduced hassle with computer, they advise of faults.

Ta again Andy Haynes says about putting a bar between and looking for 'excessive movement' but I guess I will do all I can and then suck it and see. The mot chap I go to is fair but as I mentioned not been to him since the new mot has been introduced. interestingly he passed my van when another said I had a hole near my shocker which I still haven't found
! also no chalk marks on any of the failed welding places????

Its not a requirement when failing on corrosion , most testers just mark to stop people or the repairing gargae phoning up asking exactly where the hole is.
