What size should my front inner cv's be?

Post by Yozza »

Ay up,
I've got the drive shafts and cv's off for a service and I'm sure I read somewhere that 14" cv's are 100mm dia. and 16" cv's are bigger (108mm dia.)? The front innner cv's on my 16" are 100mm. Have I got my wires mixed up (I hope so) :? , or have I got 14" drive gear on my 16"? (Front box code is: AHT G)

front inners are the same as rears 100mm regardless of size of wheel or diff locks
16" non locker fronts have the same outers and shafts as the 14"
16" locking fronts have a unique outer cv and different shaft to match

I have front outer cv outer lip seals in stock 2 left, nla from vw or manufacturer may be available from classic haven't checked, after that only the V ring seal that replaces the metal ring and the vw v ring seal
