Service query 2ltr Aircooled

Post by mr_clarkson »

Hi, I have now fitted my replacent engine and last night got it fired up :-) all I need to do now is fabricate a throttle linkage from the auto box to the single carb! (yes I know your gonna tell me to bin the single carb but un till I can afford a decent set of twins it has to stay, and besides it's only got to drive to mor station and maybe a couple of local first camping trips)

before I fire the engine up again I need to to an oil change but am unsure what grade oil is best for the cu engine? Also will halfords do a filter for it as I would like to get it done this eve and it's the only place open

many thanks
jon

oh no not the oil question again.......... :run

There is a very recent post asking about oil again... and there is lots of info in the WIKI....

Filters... unlikely to find any locally.. mail order from Brickyard or GSF........
