What drain on the battery?

Post by Helga »

I'm testing my main battery for drain without ignition on tomorrow, but was wondering what miliamps I should expect as a matter of course on an 82 Aircooled? There is the clock (which works) and... oh that is about it! So what miliamps should that take?

Thanks!

Never measured it but it will be very low. I can give you an exact figure if you want as I have one in my spares box. If you have a radio then it will probably have a 'memory' and this will add to the drain (memory consumption can be a problem with some models that have remote control units).

Thanks, 'exact'' not a problem, but have NO idea even roughly! I mean 1 amp? 2amps? 20milli amps? A ball park figure would be fine :ok
