South African Calipers

Post by slobbo »

Just had the front flexy hoses replaced on the bus and it turns out I have a 2 nearside callipers. The bleed nipple on the OS is on the top. Not a problem in use but a bugger to bleed. Anybody else with SA callipers have this issue? Or maybe 2 offside callipers and we can do a swap.

Also have a set of 14" Syncro braided brake pipes that don't fit. The end is too long. The threaded piece bottoms out before the tube seals. Anyone else had this problem or is it just my SA Callipers? The garage fitted stock ones instead. The end is shorter.
Cheers
Rob.

As Aiden says the current ones from Baxter are right and are also DOT / TUV approved. There are others going around that aren't, DOT / TUV approved, and again as Aiden says are using incorrect female nuts that are too long. You decide which ones to use................
