turbo - exhaust support

Post by joe75 »

hello ...

I noticed over the last few months that I was getting an exhaust blow from the exhaust manifold. Yesterday i got around to fixing it and found that there were two studs missing from the exhaust manifold, which were on the turbo end. (engine is a JX 1.6TD) While working on the engine, I noticed that where the exhaust bolts to the turbo, there is a bracket for a support; Mine does not have any support for the turbo and think this is what made the studs work loose.

Does anyone have a photo or diagram of what this bracket looks like. Any ideas where to get one?

Thanks in advance :ok

Great help. I was a member of vag cat and forgot all about them

Now, any idea where to get one from?

Hi - I've just been sorting out my AAZ install using a JX manifold and fitted exactly the same bracket.
I bought mine from VW and was £30 incl VAT. Possibly a bit steep but time of the essence, etc.
Part no = V068145841A.

I also got the relevant set-screws for both ends ( 2-off each end) as follows:
VN0102517 & VN0102336 - £2.20 all in for all 4.

Hope this helps!
