Event invitation 31st Oct.. Date change to 14/15 Nov

Post by toomanytoys »

My local club want to see more Syncros in action... and have again asked me to invite you to there anual bonfire night/halloween bash

The date is now expected to be 14/15th of Nov.. ( confirmed... :ok )

Wild camping is available at the site or you can camp at mine.. (depending on weather we may camp) there will be an evening/night drive if you fancy it and basically a fun day on the sunday with some routes laid out.. (I'll make sure of some syncro friendly routes)..

Sat night will have a large BBQ, burgers, hot dogs, chilli etc etc..... (prob salads and jacket spuds etc etc)

Wood and stuff for the bonfire is appreciated, but I will have to sort that as its a bit unreasonable to expect you lot to drag stuff there..
If you want to contribute some fireworks thats great... but must be handed to the team..

Scopwick is a cracking little site with plenty to challenge if so required and lots of easier stuff..

Update.. looks like there will be a "clicker" challenge... this prob will be extreme for syncro's, but I'll have a look but will poss need a co pilot for that... (as I understand its an extreme "punch challenge" style thing, might rule us out though, but I have managed to put the syncro where they have put the 90's/disco's etc)

It located Just to the north of Sleaford off the A15.

Costs...
Adult £5, kids £2 (BBQ)
Driving will be £10 for main driver, £5 for additional driver and £5 day membership (non members) to comply with MSA regs... So £20 for sat night food bonfire fireworks, camping and driving on Sunday for main driver.. 2nd driver would be £15

Let me know if you are up for it...

I'm hoping to do a trial event with the Shropshire Off Road Club, near Church Stretton, that weekend.

Gonna try and upload some vid of the vist there a couple of weeks ago..
Its a small site but has some interesting routes... some syncro challenging ones too.. but of course you dont have to do them... I have done most and your welcome to have a ride in mine if you dont fancy "donk'ing" yours...

Plenty of camping space at mine (if weather a bit inclement and we drive over Sat), or if the weather is reasonable (we only have a tent) we shall camp there...

Brilliant! Count me in now the date's changed. Strictly in an observing role though (except for the barby where I'm only too happy to be more hands on). My poor old back couldn't take all that bouncing about.
