Plastic water pipes on e bay
Not cheap though ... personally I would go for the JK stainless steel set ... a bit more expensive but easy to fit.

Re: Plastic water pipes on e bay
These are a direct upgrade/replacement for the early copper pipes which are now heavily corroded
and theres me thinking the early pipes where steel not copper

Seen several sets here and on the Brick-Yard for reasonable money like 60 odd quid Also heard that stainless may not be great for WBX engines because of mixing metal types and potentially more corrosion Tim

Stainless is by its very nature non-reactive so you don't get the galvanic corrosion problems associated with the copper/steel/aluminium/heat combination. (It makes a low-powered battery) Copper is ok if you have an iron block/head and a brass rad, like on old british motors.

Oh well, thats good. I had contributed to a thread on the Brickyard that had attracted a certain amount of uncertainty and caution bout the SS pipes. However, pleased to find that they seem fine as i'd be happier fitting these that plastic...reason being that a friend got some plastic pipes and noted that the steel inserts had caused the plastic pipes to crack due to rust? perhaps something other. What got me was the complete 2.0 Aircooled engine with all ancilleries that went for £1020.03. Could hear it running but sold as seen. Nearly put mine up until i remembered i can't drive anywhere without it and i like it too good damn much!!! Prices for parts seem to be sky rocketing.

2.0 Aircooled engine with all ancilleries that went for £1020.03??? Makes no sense. Might as well hunt for a rad and fit an engine thats far more economical. Anyone want a genuine T25 indicator lens for £90?
