I've just fitted a new radiator fan thermo switch and realise its different to the one removed, the old one has a rating of 95/84 102/91 the new one is 93/82 87/76 both are Dual Thermo. Will this create problems or just adjust the operating scales of the fan?
Would be grateful for any thoughts....

Re: Radiator Thermo Switch
I fitted an 83deg - 89deg to mine so the fan comes on earlier.. so no problem as long as the lower temp triggers the low speed first.

Re: Radiator Thermo Switch
I've just changed mine. Bought it from JK without knowing about different opening temps. when warmed up,It now sits above 1/2 way and when idling on my driveway to simulate a traffic jam the fan kicks in before it reads 3/4. Is this ok?

Re: Radiator Thermo Switch
yep
my low speed comes on just over half way
I've even fitted a lower temp thermostat.
All this is to try and keep the oil temp down which keeps the pressure up at lower RPM and minimise wear
normal is anywhere between the two marks.
the fact your fan comes before it reaches the red, is a good thing.
