Smartcom spliter

Post by Ian and Lins »

I've read the stuff on the WIKI and bought a SMARTCOM splitter to charge the leisure battery and read the wiring instructions on the back of the unit...but could a brainier person give me a bit of advice on fitting? e.g. what does +12vFUSED I/P mean and what wires into this and where from and where to?

On the left of the box is;
+12VFUSED I/P
OV EARTH I/P

On the right of the box is;
+12V PERMANENT LIVE O/P
FRIDGE O/P
AUX BATTERY O/P

Cheers,
Ian G

I/P = Input
O/P= Output
So +12v I/P Goes to + terminal on main battery 15amp fuse in this line
0v I/p Goes to - terminal on main battery or anywhere metallic on body but clean paint off.

Fridge goes to live on your fridge (fridge will only run on 12v when engine is running)
+12v O/P to + terminal on liesure battery
0v O/P to - terminal on leisure battery
Hope that makes sense
