Camping in/near Middlesbrough

Post by CycloneMike »

Hi all, I've got to spend a week in Middlesbrough next month.
I thought I'd stay in the van, anyone know the area or know any sites? I want to be as close as poss to the town centre.
From a quick search on the web I found
http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/detai ... revid=1632" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Had a look for it today when I was over there. If I believe my sat nav, it looks like a housing estate and Pizza Hut has been built on it.
http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/CaravanClu ... TER%20PARK" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I didn't get chance to look at this one but from the website it looks ok, but I'm not sure If I have to be in the Caravan Club to use it?
Any advice welcome.
Regards,
Mike.

The first one on your link has been gone for years. I think its now the royal mail sorting office. :lol:

The white water park is a nice site though and don't think you need to be a member to stay there. Give them a ring a check. Maybe 10 minutes drive to centre of m'bro too.
Couple of minutes walk from the cinema, morrisons supermarket, ten tin bowling etc.
Movember, growing a tash for charity.
