petrol tanks?

is there any difference between a 19dg tank and a 21dj tank? thinking of running a gti engine with fuel injection but my panel is a dg!! so might have to swap them over????

if their is a diference and i think their is, ive got a nearly new 2.1 injection tank here in very good condition cheers cj.

Yes there is a difference.The injection tank has a 12mm or half inch outlet(supply) and the return is fed into a swerl chamber in the tank.
Where the non injection has a 8mm feed and a 6mm return and no swerl chamber.

cheers fellas ! the tank in the piture is off a 21dj i just cant be bothered with th hasstle of changing the tanks over!!!!! i have a pump of the gti where the fuel come from the tank into the filter houseing and pump then to the injectors and the surplus goes back into the filter house and back to the tank? i've made this sound complicated but its quite simple and easy to adapt so do you think this will cure my swirllpot issues?

Yes that will work and is how vw made some of their other fuel injected vehicles.
