sorry another newbie question - do all continental europe syncro's tend to be 16", or was 14" an option there also ? all the German look to be 16" ...

Most syncros are 14'' both here and in europe. Not many 16's were made though a few are about and for sale from time to time if you know were to look.

40 odd thousand syncros were built ...out of those only 2300 or so were 16" (too lazy to look up exact figures)

So most Syncros that "look" 16" most likely aren't

2136 of 16`s infact. Look out for the special flared bumpers (not to be confused with MAGMA or TRISTAR ones). Owning one is great fun - although a 14 inch is a great truck too

But a 16" has some special features that makes ownng one a potential more costly "adventure" also...
Officially no RHD 16" were ever made, but there has been 2 or 3 special evaluation vehicles surface that apparently were supposed to be destined for a couple of African countries... but they have so far fetched very very good money...
