Quarter light seal replacement

Post by Cruz »

I'm going to be renewing a knackered quarter light seal soon. Anyone got any tips like do I fit the seal then the glass or fit the glass to the seal then fit it to the van......use soapy solution.....how to get the seal and glass right into the corner so the quarter light bar doesn't make the cab window tight????

Cheers

Hi, I fitted one in my van not to long ago. They go in fairly easy, think I put abit on wd40 on the rubber. Most difficult part of the job is removing/refitting quarter light bar. But did whole job in my dinner at work and only get half hour for that

I take it you put the glass into the seal then fitted?

How did you go about getting the window with seal right into the corner? It seems to me that if it doesn't get right in there corner then when the quarter light bar goes back in it could make the cab window operation stiff
