Tip for the day!

Post by KarlT »

Well Brothers, Sisters & Comrades

I've done it......Yes I've finally got that bloody petrol filter off.

And whats more it was a doddle....(for VW anyhow, only involved rusted in bolts/screws covered to sh#t that you couldn't see).

Tip is..........

Don't spend 2 hours trying to undo the filter clamp but clear away the afore mentioned sh*t & find the bolts/screws that hold the bracket on. :D

I think it needed changing

Oh good god is that the original filter that volkswagen put on the van or something?

It looks more like a diesel filter to me.

Ah yeah but replacing things has that effect! If I replaced the furry dice on my rear view mirror id say the van would feel smoother to drive too!

NB: I do not have furry dice on my mirror. I have a Berlin Ampelmann reflector I got when I was on holidays in Berlin. I thought it was a fititng thing to have given that its from Germany too.
